This month it seems timely to provide a second 'volume' of resources about COVID-19 and dementia from a variety of perspectives.

August has also seen New Zealand back in heightened COVID-19 alert levels. As the pandemic progresses there is a very real awareness of the vulnerability of people living with dementia, but also heightened appreciation the resilience of our older people and the adaptability of our wonderful dementia workforce.

The New Zealand Dementia Cooperative’s mission is to support the dementia sector to create a sustainable, comprehensive, and quality approach to dementia care in New Zealand. We focus on the dementia workforce and the dementia academic community, facilitating their work and forming links with best practice ideas and tools from within the country and internationally. This newsletter puts this mission into action in these extraordinary times.
